Carer with person in wheelchair

The past 9 months have seen many changes to how services operate due to COVID-19 restrictions.

In some circumstances Service Providers have had to do assessments for equipment and instruct how to use the equipment correctly and safely via video meetings to ensure physical distancing.

FlexEquip has continued to operate consistently during this time to ensure equipment is still shipped to people with MND across NSW and the ACT.

Over 1142 items of equipment have been shipped to over 258 individuals and 1328 returned. Over $110,000 has been spent to purchase new equipment to be included in the FlexEquip Library including power wheelchairs, bed, and communication devices.

Prior to delivery or collection of equipment, FlexEquip continues to ask if anyone in the household is unwell. If someone is unwell, the courier booking is delayed until the household is clear so we can maintain the safety of our courier contractors. In a reciprocal arrangement, the courier services we use have been checked to ensure they have COVID-19 processes in place, not only to protect their drivers but also the people they may be in contact with. This should cause minimal disruption to deliveries and collection and FlexEquip staff will let you know what the timelines are when you arrange your service.

For information on equipment provided and how to access this equipment please visit the FlexEquip website www.flexequip.com.au and if you have any feedback please do not hesitate to contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Kind regards
