People living with MND must have access to equipment and assistive technology that meets their changing needs. Experiences vary across the country.
Around 475 respondents to the Australian MND Community Survey 2025 reported struggling to find health professionals with MND experience, increasing to 64% for outer regionals areas.
In response, MND NSW is developing a free national e-Learning course on the MND Hub for allied health professionals. After completing the course, learners will have a stronger understanding of the equipment needs of people living with MND and increased confidence in prescribing appropriate equipment.
Better understanding = Better equipment prescription = Better outcomes, for everyone.
